At the summit of one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, the medieval bastide town of Domme, the Hôtel l’Esplanade’s gourmet restaurant welcomes you for a special gourmet experience.
Whether you sit in the cosy dining room or on the terrace in the shade of the linden trees, your eyes will be drawn to the Dordogne as it winds its way through the hills of the Périgord Noir region, with its delicious culinary treasures at the heart of your meal.

We welcome you to the L’Esplanade restaurant in a warm and intimate atmosphere, where the wood panelling, Limoges crockery and warm-coloured fabrics continue to tell the story of this small family hotel.
Since 1989, L’Esplanade has been a showcase for the gastronomic creations of chef Pascal Bouland, Maître cuisinier de France and owner of the restaurant. His cuisine? Traditional dishes so dear to the region, which he transforms with wit and inventiveness. A creative freshness that he has brought back from his many travels and which he doses beautifully in each of his dishes. While the exceptional panorama outlines the contours of your meal, the plate itself creates the emotion of an unforgettable moment

“When I’m behind the stove, I put all my heart, all my passion and all my know-how into sublimating the true taste of the products I work with. While local produce and family traditions are my favourite playground, I like to reinvent them with a modern twist, harmonising flavours and playing a balancing act with textures. At the centre of the plate, the product is king and expresses itself in all simplicity”.
On the menu, the culinary compositions change with the seasons, while the signature dishes remain timeless. To the delight of our regulars, the family’s emblematic gourmet recipes are available by prior arrangement.

At any time of day, the bar is reserved exclusively for hotel guests. Everyone can enjoy a quiet moment and savour a drink indoors or on the sheltered terrace. At aperitif time, summer cocktails can be enjoyed with a view of the sunset.
