At the top of one of France’s Most Beautiful Villages, the medieval bastide town of Domme, the gourmet restaurant at the Hôtel l’Esplanade welcomes you for a special gourmet experience.

Whether you settle into the cozy dining room or choose to sit on the terrace in the shade of the lime trees, you can feast your eyes on the Dordogne River as it winds its way through the hills of the Périgord Noir and enjoy its delicious culinary treasures on your plate.

Please note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We welcome you to L’Esplanade restaurant in an intimate and warm atmosphere, where wood paneling, Limoges tableware, and warm-colored fabrics continue to tell the story of this small family hotel.

Since 1989, L’Esplanade has been the showcase for the gastronomic creations of chef Pascal Bouland, Maître Cuisinier de France and owner of the establishment. His cuisine? Traditional dishes dear to this region, which he transforms with wit and inventiveness. A creative freshness that he has brought back from his many travels and which he beautifully balances in each of his dishes. While the exceptional panorama sets the scene for your meal, the plate itself creates the emotion of an unforgettable moment.

“When I’m in the kitchen, I put my heart, soul, and expertise into bringing out the true flavor of the ingredients I’m working with. While local produce and family traditions are my favorite playground, I like to reinvent them with a modern twist, harmonizing flavors and balancing textures. At the center of the plate, the ingredient reigns supreme and expresses itself in all its simplicity.”

The menu changes with the seasons, while the signature dishes remain timeless. To the delight of regulars, the family’s iconic gourmet recipes are available upon reservation.

At any time of day, the bar is exclusively reserved for hotel guests. Everyone can enjoy a moment of calm and savor a drink indoors or on the sheltered terrace. At cocktail hour, summer cocktails can be enjoyed with a view of the sunset.
